Erdal Atukeren

Erdal Atukeren received a double major B.A degree in economics and business administration from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul (Turkey) in 1986. He obtained an MA in econometrics from Istanbul University (1988), and M.A and PhD degrees in economics from the University of Ottawa (1990, 1995). He was awarded the title of "Associate Professor of Econometrics" by the Interuniversity Council (Turkey) in January 2009.

Dr. Atukeren worked as an emerging markets research economist and senior country credit and risk analyst at the Union Bank of Switzerland / UBS AG in Zurich between 1995 -1999. Since 2000, Dr. Atukeren is a senior researcher at KOF Swiss Economic Institute at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich.

Dr. Atukeren authored or co-authored articles that appeared or will appear in Applied Economics, Applied Economics Letters, Applied Financial Economics, Economics Bulletin, Global Economy Journal, International Research Journal of Finance and Economics, Kyklos, Review of Economic Dynamics, Swiss Review of International Economic Relations (Aussenwirtschaft), and Quality and Quantity (International Journal of Methodology). He is also an Editorial Board member of the International Journal of Sustainable Economy and the International Journal of Computational Economics and Econometrics. Since 2007, he has been a session track co-chair (Global Economics, Public Finance, Taxation) for the World Business Congress, organised by the International Management Development Association (IMDA).

Dr. Atukeren taught courses at the University of Ottawa (1993-1995), Boğaziçi University (2007), and the SBS Swiss Business School (2008 - ). His research and teaching interests include macroeconomic forecasting, applied econometrics, financial economics, energy economics, international economics, economics of art markets, and managerial / business economics.
