Serhiy Kozmenko

Was born in Kurskaya region (Russia) in 1961.
In 1984 got the qualification of an engineer in specialty "Hydraulic machines and automatic equipment means" at Kharkov polytechnic institute (Sumy branch).
From 1986 till 1995 worked at the Department of Economics of this institute as a junior research worker, a research worker and a senior research worker. He took part in numerous science-researches as a performer and a supervisor. During that time he had the following range of interests: organizations' management, nature use and environmental protection economics, land relations management, ecological management. In parallel he worked as a lecturer.
He graduated from the postgraduate studies of Kharkov polytechnic institute in specialty "Economics of an enterprise". In 1991 he defended the thesis for the getting a degree of Candidate of Sciences at a specialized academic council of Odessa Department of the Institute of Economics (National Academy of Sciences).
In 1992 was awarded the medal of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and the reward for young scientists.
In 1995-1997 studied at Doctoral studies at the Institute of Market problems (Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow).
In 1997 defended the thesis to get a degree of a Doctor of Sciences in Economics in specialty "Economics and scientific and technological progress management, investment and innovation processes" on the topic "Emergency situations management in the conditions of investment resources scantiness".
From September 1997 he began his work as an Associate Professor of the Department of Banking at the Ukrainian Academy of Banking of the National Bank of Ukraine. From 1998 - as a Head of Department of Management and Foreign Economics Relations. In 2005 he became a Vice-Rector on Research at the Ukrainian Academy of Banking.
In 1998 he was conferred the academic rank of an Associate Professor and in 2001 - of a Professor.
In 2001 was awarded the certificate of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Kozmenko S. M. is a member of Editorial Boards of the following Research Journals: International Journal of Business (Craig School of Business, California State University, Fresno: http://www.craig.csufresno.edu/ijb/), the journal of Ukrainian Academy of Banking, the Collection of scientific works of the Ukrainian Academy of Banking; Mechanism of Economy's regulation, the journal of Sumy State University (series - Economics).
He is a member of two specialized academic councils in thesis defense: at the Ukrainian Academy of Banking of NBU and at Sumy State University.
