Professor Demetris Vrontis studied in the United Kingdom and obtained a BSc (Hons) in Business from Manchester Metropolitan University Business School, a PGCE (HE) from Manchester Metropolitan University, an MBA (with Distinction) from the University of Hull and a PhD in International Marketing from Manchester Metropolitan University Business School. Professor Vrontis is a Fellow Member and certified Chartered Marketer of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and a Chartered Business and Chartered Marketing Consultant certified by the Chartered Association of Business Administrators (Canada), serving as a consultant and member of Board of Directors to a number of international companies.

Professor Demetris Vrontis is a Professor in Marketing and the Dean of the School of Business at the University of Nicosia in Cyprus. He is also a Visiting Teaching Faculty for Henley School of Management at the University of Reading in the UK, a Visiting Professor for Vorarlberg University in Austria, a Visiting Research Fellow at Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK, a Visiting Fellow at Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK, a Visiting Faculty of the University of Gloucestershire in the UK, an External Examiner for Nottingham Trent University in the UK and an External Examiner of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in South Africa.

His prime research interests are on strategic marketing planning, branding, international marketing and marketing communications, areas that he has widely published in over 65 refereed journal articles, contributed chapters and cases in books/edited books and presented papers to conferences on a global basis. Professor Vrontis is also the author of 10 books mainly in the areas of international marketing and marketing planning.

Academic journal publications, include among other publications in the Journal of Business Research, Journal of Marketing Management, International Marketing Review, Journal of Marketing Communications, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, Marketing Intelligence and Planning, Journal of Product and Brand Management, Journal of Brand Management, Journal of Promotion Management, Journal of Fashion Marketing and Management, The Marketing Review, International Journal of Business Studies, Review of Business and International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business.

Professor Vrontis is the Founding Editor of the EuroMed Journal of Business and an editorial advisory board member in numerous academic and scientific marketing and business related journals.

Professor Vrontis is also the Founder and President of the EuroMed Research Business Institute, the Chairman of the EuroMed Academy of Business and the Executive Director of the EuroMed Research Centre aiming to contribute to and share the understanding of different business environments and trends in the region through research, teaching and consulting, and seeking to provide an updated overview of the emerging business practices and stimulate and nourish dialogue in the countries of the region.
