Tetiana Ponomarenko , Olha Prokopenko , Halyna Kuzmenko , Tetiana Kaminska , Marharyta Luchyk doi: http://dx.doi.org/10.21511/bbs.13(2).2018.07Banks and Bank Systems Volume 13, 2018 Issue #2 pp. 77-88
Views: 1422 Downloads: 401 TO CITE АНОТАЦІЯUkrainian banking institutions conduct their activity under the influence of various risks, which create critical situations for them. In this context, banks should pay more attention to their own security. The article analyzes the theoretical approaches to the concept of “banking security”, examines the level of banking security as a component of the financial and economic security of the state, and determines the ways to improve it. Banking security was analyzed based on the data of the National Bank of Ukraine and other banks that are part of the banking system of the country.
The current state of the banking system shows a decrease in the security since 2014 to the “danger zone”. This is facilitated by a great number of problem loans and foreign capital in the authorized capital of banks; the predominance of short-term lending over long-term one; continued unprofitableness and low liquidity of bank assets. Banking security was the guarantor of achieving financial security of the state. Therefore, the article outlines directions for improving the operation of banking institutions and the banking system as a whole, which will allow to improve banking security in the short term. This is, first of all, the legislative consolidation of the creditor rights protection, the expansion of the lending process, including in foreign currency, with the predomi-nance of long-term loans, the banks’ work in the direction of increasing their assets profitability, optimizing administrative costs, developing and using the latest informa¬tion technology to ensure the effective operation and information security of banks. -

The main goals of the innovation networks development are determined. In the context of the study of factors for the innovation networks development, the role of relationship marketing, which involves the constructing long-term mutually beneficial relations with key partners of the economic entity, should be noted. It is determined that relationship marketing acts as a tool for practical implementation of the concept of joint creation of value in modern institutional forms of interaction in the innovation system (innovation networks, in particular virtual, international clusters, alliances, etc.). It was emphasized that in order to achieve the network aspect of innovation development of the economy, it is necessary to use models of open innovation, that is, combining efforts of economic entities in the scientific and technical field and exchange of operating results. The main communication problems, which cause the blocking of innovation development are determined. The analysis made it possible to distinguish between the groups of methods and mechanisms that are most often considered in the InCo practice. InCo practices are considered in terms of the possibility of organizing and self-regulating systems.

Views: 1337 Downloads: 105 TO CITE АНОТАЦІЯThe main problem of the research is development of a conceptual framework for investment and innovation security, as well as the methodological approach to its assessment, which will allow monitoring and identifying the threats and achieving the desired security state of the national economy. It has been proved that investment and innovation security is a multi-level phenomenon, consisting of the following levels: global, national, corporate and household ones. Investment and innovation security is determined by three components, such as state security at the external and internal markets, security of enterprises (corporations) and individual households, which requires their balancing. The methodical approach to the integrated assessment of the investment and innovation security level is developed, which involves the development of integral index as the geometric mean of 3 sub-indices, which include single indices under the national, corporate and household level. The results of this methodological approach approbation allowed us to form preconditions for finding ways of growth, forecasting trends and building scenarios for strengthening the investment and economic security of Ukraine.

Views: 720 Downloads: 208 TO CITE АНОТАЦІЯThe emergence of new players – fintech companies, neobanks and non-banking companies – changes the structure of competition in the banking sector, reduces the profitability of traditional banking activities, and therefore forces banks to look for new sources of income. The paper deals with the issue of improving relations with clients in the banking sector of Ukraine, which is proposed to be implemented through the development of priority digital banking products and services. The study used a survey method using a statistical apparatus of a small unique sample, the degree of representativeness of which was assessed using the Student’s test. Slightly higher, closer to the level that characterizes the significant impact on the client’s perception of the whole complex of digital activities in the case of Polish banks (3.81, with a maximum possible score of 5.0) than Ukrainian banks (3.75), which indicates greater involvement and willingness to accept the digitalization of the people of Poland. Generally, banks in both countries are recommended to use a customer-oriented approach in forming product policy using digital products and services, which should be implemented and developed in practice in specific areas identified during customer surveys.

Views: 489 Downloads: 124 TO CITE АНОТАЦІЯNowadays, there is uncertainty in the external environment of tourism infrastructure companies. Such a situation necessitates modeling their behavior in the strategic perspective and identifying key development factors that will minimize the impact of adverse socioeconomic indicators, thus minimizing the likelihood of negative financial outcomes. This is taking place in conditions of development of tourism infrastructure companies in Ukraine and intensified competition with the absence of an appropriate management system in the development, production, and sale of tourism products and services. Thus, this study is highly relevant. The aim of this paper is to model the strategic development of tourism infrastructure using the SWOT methodology and correlation-regression analysis. Based on the diagnosis of trends in tourism infrastructure companies of Ukraine and their environment, an approach to the development strategy of tourism infrastructure companies is proposed. First, market trends in the tourism industry, which is a crucial component of the development strategy of tourism infrastructure, are considered. The essence of the proposed approach is to use the SWOT methodology. The determination of the most significant factors of companies’ internal and external environment is based on multifactor regression-correlation modeling. It is concluded that the general growth of tourism in Ukraine is due solely to the growing demand among the citizens of Ukraine for outbound tourism.
