The Polish side was represented by Jerzy Woźnicki, President of the Polish Rectors Foundation, Chairman of the Commission on Strategic Issues of Higher Education of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP), Andrzej Chrzanowski, Chairman of the CRASP Scientific Publications Commission, SEDNO Publishing House, Grazyna Szarszewska, Director of the Bureau of the Polish Book Chamber (PIK), Anna Khoynatska, Representative of PWN scientific publishing house, and others. Among the Ukrainian participants in the online meeting were Serhiy Kozmenko, co-founder of Business Perspectives Publishing House, Hanna Tolstanova, Vice-Rector for Research at Taras Shevchenko National University, Oleh Holovko, Director of Helvetica Publishing House, Oleksandr Afonin, President of the Ukrainian Association of Publishers and Book Distributors, and others.
During the meeting, Ukrainian publishers focused on scientific cooperation proposals. Maryna Zhenchenko suggested creating a joint digital platform (electronic library) of monographs, textbooks, and study guides for scientists from Kyiv National University and Polish universities.
Serhiy Kozmenko called on his Polish colleagues to increase the number of Ukrainian scientific publications included in the list of professional publications recommended by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science. Oleh Holovko initiated the creation of a joint monograph on the Russian-Ukrainian war. Oleksandr Afonin came up with the idea of buying by Polish publishing houses the rights to print the works of Ukrainian scientists, arguing that Ukrainian publishing companies are almost completely unable to fulfill their immediate duties in wartime. The conference participants agreed to establish a working group on further communication and cooperation.
